  1. I enjoyed reading this. I’m researching re blogs and yours actually got me to stop and read, not one but two posts. I need a few of the extra rooms mentioned in this post.

  2. That’s too bad about the bamboo flooring….I was so excited about installing it because of its sustainability. I hope manufacturers find a way to correct this disadvantage in bamboo flooring. I wonder about cork…..?

  3. What about vessel lavatories in the bathrooms when remodeling for resale? Also are granite countertops still the preferred upgrade
for upgrading a kitchen, or can some of the new hard surface
countertops be just as desirable. Also what about replacing
applicances with all stainless or is just replacing stove & dishwasher sufficient. Lots of questions, but sure would appreciate help.

  4. My two cents? (Since you asked.)

Love vessel sinks - very hot now. However, also check out the trough or apron farm-style sinks for the bathroom - these are the next trend, and I think will prove to be more user-friendly in the long run than the vessel sinks.

Granite is still preferred and can be very cost effective, if you find the place in your town the contractors frequent - not the big box home improvement warehouse.

I would replace all appliances - to do less feels very cheap to the mind of your eventual buyer.
